Prisoners sleep while standing

Prisoners are said to be sleeping while in a standing posiiton, in most prisons islandwide, due to the severe shortage of prisons cells, it has been reported.
The prisoner count at jails which are generally able to house between to 6,000 to 7,000 inmates, has increased to around 24,000 at present, leading towards the fermenting of unrest amongst inmates at local prisons. Severe space constraints at the 32 prisons located islandwide, have topped their detention capacity.
