Former Minister Jagath Pushpakumara’s wife dies after fall

The wife of former Cabinet Minister and former Monaragala District Parliamentarian Jagath Pushpakumara has died after falling from the second floor of a building under construction.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Deshani Gunaratne, a mother of two.
According to reports, the building belongs to the family.
She was receiving treatment for her injuries at Karapitiya Hospital and died this morning (August 19).
Her remains are due to be taken to the family home in Thanamalwila.
