41 arrested in Teldeniya Facebook party raid – drugs and alcohol seized

Sri Lanka Police arrested 41 people during a raid on a Facebook party in the Victoria area of Teldeniya on the night of September 5, 2026, while several types of drugs and alcohol were also seized.

The male suspects are aged between 21 and 40 and are residents of Gelioya, Aluthwatta, Warakapola, Peradeniya, Ampitiya, Kandy and Hanguranketha.
The five female suspects are aged between 22 and 43 and are residents of Pallekele, Peradeniya, Hanguranketha, Dehiwala and Katugastota.
Teldeniya Police are conducting further investigations.
