Government gazettes new revenue proposals

The government has gazetted a series of amendments to the Finance Act to give effect to several revenue proposals in the budget 2018, including taxes on cellular towers, luxury motor vehicles, vehicle entitlement and carbon emissions.



SLTB in the black for first time

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) which was incurring heavy losses for many years, had earned a profit of Rs. 1,618 million last year, for the first time in its history.
