Police constable killed in an accident

A police constable was killed in a motor accident in Thelhiriyawa on the Thambuttegama – Eppawala road.
Another has sustained injuries.
According to police sources, the accident had occurred at around 09.30 Monday night when the motorcycle the constable was riding in collided with a three-wheeler.
The victim is a 29-year-old police constable attached to the Colombo Crime Division. He was a resident of Ihalamillewa in Eppawala.
The other person who was injured has been admitted to the Anuradhapura General Hospital.
The three-wheeler driver has been arrested in connection with the accident.
