Sri Lanka’s cabinet approves domestic debt restructuring programme

Sri Lanka’s Cabinet of Ministers have approved the domestic debt restructuring programme at the special Cabinet meeting which concluded this evening (June 28).
Meanwhile, Speaker of Sri Lanka Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena issued a Gazette Extraordinary on Tuesday (June 27), convening the parliament on Saturday (July 01) at 9:30 AM.
During this special parliamentary session, at the request of Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dinesh Gunawardena, the proposal for domestic debt restructuring will be presented for adoption.
