Thajudeen’s death not an accident – Police
The Police on Thursday said that the Judicial Medical Officer’s report into the mysterious death of former Havelock’s captain and Sri Lankan ruggerite, Wasim Thajudeen, had revealed that his death could not have been due to natural causes.
Police spokesman Ajith Rohana told the media that on the instructions of the Police Chief, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had now taken over the investigations into the ruggerite’s death.
“The JMO report has clearly stated that this was not an ‘accidental death’,” the Spokesman said. Thajudeen died on May 17, 2012 in Kirulapone after his car crashed into a wall.
Meanwhile, the Spokesman said that fresh inquiries into the murder of Sunday Leader Editor Lasantha Wickremetunga, missing Journalist Pradeep Eknaligoda, the Rathupaswala shooting incident and the Welikada Prison incident, by the CID have already commenced.

This was a well known fact. Same old story, always finding out something but no action taken. Inquieries and inquiries and again a inquiry, by then the culprit has paid all the bribes and left the country for medical treatment abroad.
The alleged murderer is an open secret. He was protected from prosecution as he was the middle son of the former dictator ** (alias Saddam Hussein of SL). This alleged murderer was the love rival of the victim. He should be apprehended and brought to justice.
Saddam Hussein of SL should never return to power as he is such a corrupt and vile man. Our nation is better without him. The only good thing he did was to totally vanquish the LTTE.

The learned blogger Nicholas Dias has coined this term for a past leader. Is it CBK or RP? They both deserve that title. There is another “setthu potchu” man who deserves this title; unfortunately it has to be a post-humous decoration for him following his watery grave at Nandikadaal Lagoon.
His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa never lost his leadership. The numbers went against him on 8th January but the hearts in which he lives, continue to beat. Mahinda is our leader, the only leader who lived for the emancipation of the Mathrubhoomi. he will live in our hearts forever and lead us forever.
There may be others of the traitorous variety sitting in high chairs. But they are traitors who are out to betray our land and one day, shall be hung in Galle Face Green, a fate similar to other traitorous leaders.
How can a decent person raise his hand to support the nomination of a leader for a top post in the morning and announce his own candidacy for same, in the afternoon? This is a Shakespearian tragedy of the worst order.
What misfortune has fallen upon or nation and its peoples?
