Sri Lanka’s CBSL Governor directs banks to implement EMV chip technology after massive ATM Fraud detected

Sri Lanka’s Central Bank (CBSL) Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy had recently told reporters that incidents of ATM fraud have taken place at banks that have not employed EMV chip technology and that the CBSL will make it compulsory for all banks to achieve EMV chip-technology compliance.



71st national Day celebrations commences

The commemoration of the 71st National Day of Sri Lanka has commenced ceremoniously at the Galle Face Green.The celebrations were commenced under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe welcomed the President to the event.

The people are requested to keep the national flag hoisted in all government offices, every household and all business premises from today till 7th of February to mark National Day.
