Tonight’s vote will decide PM’s fate

Parliament will debate the no-faith motion, moved by the Joint Opposition (JO), against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm today. The vote on the motion will be taken at 9.00 pm as per a decision by party leaders.





PM meets President again

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived at the President’s residence a short while ago for another discussion with President Maithripala Sirisena in view of the no-faith motion against him in Parliament.







We have to end this PM’s authority – Vasudeva

Leader of the New Left Front, Member of Parliament Vasudeva Nanayakkara says, “If a caretaker government is appointed and action is taken towards holding a General Election, and if Ranil Wickremesinghe comes into the Opposition and tries to obstruct such a caretaker government, I have to mention that we will support such a government.”
