President Rajapaksa Congratulates New President of Libya

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has extended his congratulatory wishes to the new President of Libya Nouri Ali Busahmin.

“Your Excellency’s election as the President of Libya bears testimony to the confidence that the members of the General National Congress have placed in you in guiding the tasks during the period of transition and bringing stability to Libya,” President Rajapaksa wrote.

The President also expressed his expectation of the two countries being able to further strengthen bilateral ties under the new administration.
