Price of a loaf of bread up by Rs. 5

The price of a loaf of bread has been increased by Rs. 5 with effect from midnight today (17), stated the Bakery Owners’ Association.
It said the bakers had to increase the price of a loaf following the increase of the price of wheat flour by Rs.8.
Prima Ceylon (Private) Limited increased by Rs.8 the price of a kilogramme of wheat flour yesterday.

The Bakery Owners Association should work with its members to improve the product.
