DAMBULLA, Sri Lanka (AP)—Sri Lanka has beaten New Zealand by three wickets with nine overs to spare in the second tri-series one-day international at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday.
After restricting New Zealand to 192 in less than 49 overs, Sri Lanka cruised to victory with 195-7 in the 41st over.
Sri Lanka 195-7 off 40.5 overs (Upul Tharanga 70, Kumar Sangakkara 48, Thilan Samaraweera 36 not out; Kyle Mills 4-41), def. New Zealand 192 in 48.1 overs (BJ Watling 55, Nathan McCullum 36; Lasith Malinga 3-35, Anjelo Mathews 3-36), by 3 wickets.
