Largest cigarette consignment seized by the Customs

The Customs Revenue Task Force seized 4 million cigarettes valued at Rs. 112 mn at Orugodawatte Rank Container Terminal today, Customs’ Media spokesman Leslie Gamini said.
The container had been imported from Dubai as curtains to a fraudulent address in Colombo-Pettah. This is the largest consignment of illegally imported cigarettes seized by the Customs so far this year.
