2nd reading of 2019 budget passed

The second reading of the 2019 Budget proposal was passed in Parliament this evening with a majority of 43 votes.
A total of 119 MPs voted in favour of the budget while 76 MPs including JVP MPs voted against it. The SLFP MPs abstained from voting.
