All missing journalists are alive – Arundika
All journalists, including Sandaruwan Senadheera of Lanka E news, who are said to have disappeared, are living abroad, government MP Arundika Fernando told Parliament today.
He said Mr. Senadeera was running the Lankaenews website from London.
Mr. Fernando said it was questionable how these journalists obtained political asylum overseas.
Citing an example, he said journalist Sunanda Deshapriya had no reason to flee the country. He said Mr. Deshapriya’s brother would not have been appointed to the post of Elections Commissioner if this government was opposed to journalists.
UNP MP Ajith P Perera said Mr. Fernando should not use his parliamentary privilege to say nonsensical things.

Hon Arundhika Fernando is correct.
All the jounalists of repute are living overseas with their LTT leftover bretheren.
They make a living out of mud throwing at the emrging Wonder of Asia.
We do not need them here; we need more leaders of the calibre of Hon Arundika and also Hon Mervyn, Hon Duminda and Hon GLP.
The current CJ said the same thing overseas some time ago and he was challenged by the colonialist westerners. I dare them to challenge Hon Arundhika now. He is a member of parliament and is under parliamentary privilege.
I wouldn’t call Mervin and Duminda “Hon”. Rather they are “Gon”.
Gon. Mervin Silva and Gon. Duminda are the new titles for them. They are simply degrading the president’s popularity by their stupid acts.
I remember the story of one foolish monkey who was given a sword to protect the king while the king was having a sleep. The foolish monkey attacked a fly on the king’s body from the sword, but the fly flew away and the king died.
