Aranayake PS chairman arrested

The Chairman of the Aranayake Pradeshiya Sabaha, Dinesh Gunaratne has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a person, police said.
The assault incident had taken place on Thursday while the victim is currently receiving treatment at the Kegalle Hospital.
Acting Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the PS chairman was arrested over a complaint lodged regarding the incident.
Aranayake Police are conducting further investigations.
