Bus fares to be reduced by 12.9 percent in Sri Lanka

The bus fares in Sri Lanka will be reduced by 12.9 percent with effect from midnight tomorrow (March 30), Acting Minister of Transport Lasantha Alagiyawanna said.
Meanwhile, the minimum bus fare will be reduced to Rs. 30.
The Minister announced this bus fare revision to the public while addressing a special media briefing this afternoon (March 29).
