Your Emminence,
God Bless you as much as we are blessed with your leadership.
You shall always be remembers in the bottom of our hearts and of Mother Sri Lanka.
Your Eminence,
That was the best response to irresponsible politicians, both in Govt and in Opposition.
Most of our security personnel and police are full time providing ‘Security’ to Politicians in Parliament, Provincial Councils and Urban/Municipal Councils.
It shows that the lives of these petty leaders are more important to the nation than its citizens.
The traffic flow in cities are seriously disrupted by the goons providing security lo political leaders in shiny-new Landrover Defenders.
I was in a sports ground in a Provincial Capital recently coaching youngsters in Soccer when the Leader of the Opposition and entourage arrived in a fleet of AF Helicopters. The gun-toting security alighted and chased away all those in the playing field to enable the Leader and his inebriated followers to alight from not less than 12 helicopters and board shiny new Mercedes Cars which appeared from nowhere.
Of course, the entourage was escorted by Policemen on motorbikes and Security in Defenders and they blasted into the wilderness with loud sirens announcing the arrival of the Satakaya clad leader.
What a shame.
