DIG transfers

Eight Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) had been transferred with effect from December 10 by Inspector General of Police (IGP) N. K. Illangakoon, the Police Department said.
The transfers had been based on service requirements with the approval of the Secretary of the Defence the Police Department said.
Transfer list is as follows:
| Maxi Proctor | DIG in charge of Ratnapura and Kegalle Districts |
| Rohan Dias | DIG in charge of Jaffna District |
| Jayantha Wickramasinghe | DIG in charge of Vavuniya District |
| T.B. Samsudeen | DIG in charge of Nuwara Eliya District |
| Gamini Mathurata | DIG in charge of Galle District |
| U.K. Dissanayake | DIG in charge of Killinochchi District |
Meanwhile, DIG Ratnapura and Kegalle Mahesh Perera, has been appointed as the Police Special Branch DIG and Kithsiri Ganegama who served in the Jaffna District has been transferred as the DIG of Puttlam District, the police said.
