Finance Ministry & Deputy Leader post to Ravi Karunanayake

Leader of United National Party and former Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has in writing informed UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake that he will be appointed as the Deputy Leader of the Party and the Minister of Finance in a future Government.
Earlier too, Ravi Karunanayake served as a Deputy Leader of UNP and the Minister of Finance as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
He resigned from his Cabinet Minister portfolio and was away from active politics within the Party. He is currently working closely with the leadership of UNP and has again entered into active politics for the sake of the Party’s future.

why are we creating such stories? there is no truth whatsoever and Ravi will never be appointed deputy leader for UNP and assured not minister of Finance.
This is based on very reliable information from inside unp and minister of finance will be Eran

This appears to be a rumour spread by the SLPP Ideologue, Basil R.
He has organised cheer squads for Sajith P at UNP protest meetings to create rift in UNP leadership.

Seems like any comment that criticizes the MR clan is rarely questioned. and now some one thinks that Basil R is the one who has cooked up a story about the appointment of Ravi K.I have not yet once seen a blog by the UNP supporters who admits that Ranil was involved in the Central Bank Robbery. There are many comments that accuse MR clan for stealing or misappraising funds. But not one Rajapaksa has been jailed so far. By the way what has happened to the funds that the Govt received by leasing the Hambantota Port . Our countries debts should have reduced quite considerably with the money from the Port. Does any one know where that money is??

The story about Penthouse Ravi’s future positions was fabricated and published by Mawbima which belongs to Tiran A. This story follows the 5th death anniversary function of Late RIT Alles which was attended by the entire R clan.
The so-called RW supported Bond Scam is a creation of the Polonnaruwa Pambaya. The Bond Tendering process was buggered by Aloysius in collaboration with top CB officials. This Aloysius has been buggering the Bond tender process for quite some years including time during R clan government.
The Hambanatota Port leasing brought some money into external reserves. This inflow of external cash has given confidence to CB of ability to deal with medium term debt repayment issues.
