Museum stairway collapses; students hospitalised

At least 30 students have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital following the collapse of a stairway within the Colombo Museum, hospital sources said.
The visiting students from schools in Middeniya, Giriyagama and Welimada have sustained minor injuries and are currently being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile Secretary of Defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa visited the scene of the incident and later visited the students at the hospital.
