Sri Lanka committed to enhance trade ties with Pakistan

Sri Lankan High Commissioner Major Gen (R) Jayanath Lokuketagodage Wednesday reiterated his country’s commitment to enhance trade and investment ties with Pakistan.
“We are committed to enhance the trade volume with Pakistan,” he said and extended his country’s support for the business community to promote mutual trade and investment opportunities.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Pakistan-Sri Lanka Friendship Trade and Investment Association in Islamabad, the High Commissioner said economic integration and regional trade connectivity was must for the economic growth, shared prosperity and stability of the region.
He said the history of diplomatic, economic, trade and cultural relations between the two countries spanned over decades.
