200 kg of heroin and heroin, ‘ice’ intercepted off southern coast

Two multi-day fishing craft were intercepted with more than 200 kg of heroin and crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ‘Ice’) by the navy off the Southern seas on Wednesday (December 14).
The navy has apprehended six suspects along with the drug haul in a joint operation conducted by Sri Lanka Navy, Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and State Intelligence Service.
