Asoka Ranwala granted bail

Former Speaker and National People’s Power Member of Parliament Asoka Ranwala, who was arrested over a vehicle accident in Sapugaskanda last night (December 11), was granted bail this evening (December 12).
He was ordered released on cash bail of Rs. 200,000 by the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
The case is scheduled to be heard again on December 19, 2025.
