UNP parliamentarian Harin Fernando said today the Government must take steps to bring Prageeth Eknaligoda back to Sri Lanka if it knew his whereabouts.
“It is a serious statement for the Government to make in Parliament that Prageeth Eknaligoda is living in France. The CID must interrogate parliamentarian Arundhika Fernando who revealed this in Parliament yesterday and must take necessary steps to bring Mr. Ekneligoda to Sri Lanka,” Mr. Fernando said.
UPFA parliamentarian Arundhika Fernando told parliament yesterday that missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda was residing in France.

This UNP parliamentarian should be educated on parliamentary privilege.
If Mr Ekneligoda, a father who ran away form his faimily and kept them in the dark for more than 3 years, is willing to return to his motherland, he should be given free passage.
When he returns, he should be given an important posting such as the Chairman of Pradeeshiya Sabha where the current Chairman is on death row.
Pradeep Ekneligoda’s dissapearence created a whole new industry with many locals, NGO’s, foreign and local sympathisers all earning a living from the “dissapearence”.
