Budget 2023 passed in Parliament of Sri Lanka with amendments by majority votes

The Sri Lankan Parliament today (December 08) passed the Budget for the year 2023 following the third reading.
Votes in Favour: 123
Votes Against: 80
Abstentions: 2
The debate on the committee stage for the third reading of 2023 Budget commenced on November 23 following the division on the second reading on November 22, which was passed by a majority of 37 votes.
