As of today checkpoints in Bambalapitiya and Wellawatte have been removed and other points will be removed gradually.
at last everything is becoming normal in my beautiful country
Our enemy is now JVP. The GOSL and the security forces must not let its guard down too much. We do not know what conspiracies are being hatched by the JVP and the diaspora LTTE to create chaos in the country, by manipulating and forcing University students who have been brainwashed, into the street to riot against the government and against the universities with bogus allegations.
All insurrections by JVP in 71 and 88/89 failed dismally. But the death toll was high, 6000. The JVP is solely responsible for sending these youths to an early grave. It should never be allowed to be repeated again. It should be nipped in the bud by prompt action by Hon President and the Defence Secretary.
The ring leaders of these University riots should be rounded-up and the link to JVP established, so that JVP leaders could be incarcerated this time by courts of law.
JVP is smarting by its utter defeat in the election. Hence they are trying to create anarchy and chaos in the country by distorting facts and disinformation. Only a few gullible people will be misled. But it is enough to disrupt public life of the majority.
Let us hope the Hon President will wise-up to the evil tactics of JVP and other enemies of our motherland from within and from the imperial West, and come down hard on these traitors for their subversion and sabotage.
