Chilaw Urban Council Chairman arrested over assault

Chairman of the Chilaw Urban Council and another were arrested for physically assaulting two youth in Chilaw last night, Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said the two youths were admitted to the Chilaw Hospital following the assault.
The arrested suspects will be produced before the Chilaw Magistrate’s Court today.
