With duty for electric vehicles (EV) maintaining around 5 percent, registration of EVs in September has recorded a heavy toll.
Over 471 EV’s has been registered in September against 380 in August, vehicle registry sources said.
This increase is in the backdrop of the government introducing new valuation mechanism for hybrid vehicles last week which resulted in customers rushing to reserve electric cars ahead of the budget.
