Five dead, two missing as disasters affect five Sri Lanka districts

Five people have died and two remain missing as the ongoing disaster situation affects five districts in Sri Lanka, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).

DMC Director and Media Spokesman Pradeep Kodippili said 1,881 people have been temporarily sheltered at nine safe locations.

Relief operations are continuing to support communities affected by the disaster.
