the election win is a win for mahinda. The result is a reflection of what Sirisena is as a leader that has almost led to the bakrutcy of the SLFP as a political force. He has no excuse for he campaigned with lies and the electorate saw through it. If he has any sense of integrity he should resign from the SLFP party leadership at aleast until he find a successor.
Meanwhile it is no time for jubilation with the the win. He oughtto reflect on as to what caused his defeat. Granted there were forces that operated was beyond his controls and the prospect of the very same forces to operate with higher stakes like the general election and the presidential election.
Mahinda ought to refelect on as to what caused his defeat at least reflect on the most obvious obvious to the people that mattered namely the voter. If he fails to take to task then all is lost.
