Mahindananda Aluthgamage arrested by CID

Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage was arrested by the CID a short while ago, the Police said.
The UPFA Kandy District MP was taken into custody after he arrived at the CID to give a statement this morning (15).
Police said that Aluthgamage was arrested on charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act after a statement was recorded from him.
He is to be produced at the Colombo Chief Magistrae’s Court later today.
