Police officer arrested while transporting 50kg of heroin

A police officer in uniform has been arrested while transporting 50 kilograms of heroin.
According to reports, he was identified as a Sub Inspector attached to the Kalutara South police.
The Organized Crime Prevention Division has made the arrest in the area of Hikkaduwa.
UPDATE: The police officer who was taken into custody while in possession of 50kg of heroin has been interdicted, the Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
