‘President called me four times; I didn’t pick up’ – Says JVP Leader
Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), Anura Kumara Dissanayake, said that while he had received four calls from the President on 3 February, presumably to congratulate him on being appointed as the Party Leader the previous day (2 February), he had declined to answer any of them.
He opined that the President’s motive behind the congratulatory calls was not to actually congratulate him but to do so and get media publicity for it.
“I knew when he called four times that this was a publicity stunt. He wants to score points by deceit and to then publish them in the following day’s newspapers,” he said.
He went on to say: “On my birthday in 2013, he called and wished me, and I thought only the two of us knew about our conversation, only to find out differently from that week’s Sunday newspapers. It is he who talks to the press.”

You will be the leader of our country and nation one day. Now people are intelligent. So they will definitely vote for JVP this time. Many members from JVP will be selected as members of southern and western provincial councils.

Anura KD appears to be an angry man. C’mon Anura, get rid of that anger. Where is the kindness in your heart with which every hman being is born?
When someone rigs you, pick up the phone. Communications is a healthy thing. The media is always following high profile persons and they will grab everything they can to gain scores.
So, who cares? We need balanced leaders, honest leaders and open leaders, loving and caring leaders and would like you to be one of them.
Please watch and see the speeches of Anura Dissanayaka in youtube as in below links.
I voted fro PA last 30 years but this time for JVP.
What an idiot !
This guy is having a kindergarten mentality.
This guy is now giving “publicity” for his stupidity (LOL).
God bless Sri Lanka for such political leaders who aspire to become future president/prime minister of Sri Lanka.
God save SL from such idiotic JVP politicians who are following Marxist-Leninist model which is a failed system which even Russia and China have dumped.
