SI killed, three injured in accident

A Matara Police Sub Inspector was killed and two police personnel and a suspect arrested in a ganja raid were injured when a tipper lorry crashed into a police jeep.
Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana said the accident occurred when the suspect escorted by the four police officers were about to enter the jeep.
He said the SI died on admission to the Matara Hospital while those injured are now under treatment at the same hospital.
