Three arrested in Matara brothel

Three women including an alleged owner of a brothel were arrested during a raid carried out by the Matara crimes prevention unit at Thihagoda in Matara on yesterday.
Police said the brothel had been operating under the guise of a restaurant and the arrested women, aged between 25 and 39 years were residents of Thihagoda, Sewanagala and Katunayeka areas.
The suspects are to be produced before the Matara Magistrate today.
