Three Police officers suspended over assault

Three Police officers attached to the Minuwangoda Police station were suspended pending an inquiry on the death of woman who had intervened to stop her son being allegedly assaulted by these police officers, Police headquarters said.
The 50-year-old mother had reportedly died from shock on seeing her son being allegedly assaulted after forcibly entering their house at 2.10 a.m.
The son is said to have been involved in a fight after a cricket match on February 16.
