Two dead after vehicle collides with train in Koggala

Two persons died after a vehicle collided with a train in the Koggala area today (March 16).

Accordingly, The train was running from Kandy to Matara and the motor vehicle collided with the train at a level crossing between Koggala and Talpe along the coastal line.

The driver of the car had allegedly recklessly driven over the level crossing, causing the collision.
