Youth shot dead in Beliatta

A 20-year-old youth was shot and killed in the Paluwatta area in Beliatta, Tangalle.
Police said the victim was returning home from the market when a group of unknown gunmen had arrived in a three-wheeler and opened fire last night.
The body of the victim has been placed at the Beliatta Hospital mortuary while the postmortem examination is scheduled to be conducted.
Beliatta Police have launched investigations into the shooting.
