First Sri Lankan coronavirus patient in the country identified

First Sri Lankan COVID-19 (Coronavirus) patient in the country has been identified and currently being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Angoda, according to sources.
A media release issued by the President’s Media Division (PMD) today mentioned that this patient is a 52-year-old tour guide who had worked with a group of Italians.

PUBLIC HEALTH should be PRIORITISED!
We cannot quarantine everyone, and these expenses add to our financial burden.
Coronavirus carriers may not show symptoms; so may go undetected.
Moreover, we do not have the healthcare resources to combat Coronavirus.
As we can see globally, it can have disastrous effects on health, economy and in our case, our recovering tourism.
Strict, strategic measures need to be implemented asap before it’s too late.
