Ajith Rajapaksa elected as Deputy Speaker of Parliament

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Ajith Rajapaksa was elected as the new Deputy Speaker of Parliament today (May 17) by a majority of 31 votes in a secret ballot.
The result of the ballot is as follows:
- MP Rohini Kaviratne: 78
- MP Ajith Rajapaksa: 109
- A total of 23 votes were invalid.
By the way, Mayor Rosie Aunty and Ruwan (the RW sidekick), appointed by RW to look after us in Goragogama, popped into our tent today to enquire about our welfare.
