UPDATE: CI shoots ASP before turning gun on self

An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of the Police Special Task Force (STF) was shot to death by a STF Chief Inspector (CI) within the STF camp at 65 Junction in Maha-Oya, Ampara today (Sep. 25).
Ada Derana correspondent in the area stated that both officers were hospitalized following the shooting incident.
However, the ASP had later succumbed to injuries, hospital sources said.
Police Spokesman SSP Maxi Proctor stated that preliminary investigations have revealed that the Chief Inspector had opened fire on the ASP before turning the gun on himself.
