Cabinet nod to import 6,000 Metric Tonnes of rice from Pakistan

Sri Lanka’s Cabinet of Minister has approved a proposal to import 6,000 metric tonnes of rice as per the provisions of the Sri Lanka – Pakistan Free Trade Agreement.
The proposal in this regard was tabled by the Minister of Trade in order to address the shortage of rice in the market.
