Demonstration by traders comes to a temporary halt

The demonstration which was staged by the traders of the Colombo Manning Market was temporarily stopped a short while ago.
This was done with the aim of reaching a solution to this issue by holding discussions with the Minister of Cooperatives and Internal Trade.
The demonstration began this morning against the new rule making it compulsory to use plastic crates to transport vegetables and fruits.
