Gota, SLPP’s Presidential Candidate – Zoysa
United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Ranjith De Zoysa says former Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa will be Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Party’s Presidential Candidate.
Speaking to media in Embilipitiya, MP Zoysa said the SLPP is not prepared to form an alliance with what he termed as ‘Placard Only Parties’.
In response to a statement made by Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara, MP Zoysa said his faction will not facilitate the demands made by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party faction and has decided to field former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the next Presidential Candidate.
MP Jayasekara was recently quoted as saying, that coalition talks between the SLFP and SLPP will be held on the basis of Maithripala Sirisena being nominated as the next Presidential Candidate and Mahinda Rajapaksa being appointed for the Premiership.
The next Presidential Polls is slated to be held later this year.

Why is he going against SLPP decision to wait for Hon Percy Mahendra Rajapaksa, leader of SLPP and Leader of Opposition, to nominate the next winning Presidential candidate?
The whole country is waiting for Mahinda to open his mouth and nominate winning candidate.

The SLPP leaders are Mahinda Rajapaksa, Basil Rajapaksa and Prof G L Pieris.
SLPP is a disciplined Political Party unlike the SLFP and UNP.
The SLPP has said that leader Mahinda Rajapaksa will nominate the winning presidential candidate at the appropriate time.

Hon Ranjith de Zoysa will be better off serving his constituency instaed of undermining his Leader with his BS+.

It is only Mahinda Rajapaksa who can nominate the next winning Presidential candidate who can eradicate Hakeem/Bathiutheen wahabism and drive the Sinhala Buddhist Nation towards prosperity.

The Ven Galgoda Atthe Gnanasara was more worried about Salafism (an extreme form of Arabinisation) which is popular amongst Hakeem/Bathiutheen/Hisbullah followers.
Wahabism is much milder.
I do wholeheartedly agree that it is only the SLPP Presidential Candidate nominated by Hero Mahinda who could effectively deal with the threat of salafism promoted by Hakeem/Bathiutheen/Hisbullah combine.
The Ven Athureliya Rathana Thera, the super patriot who brought down the Hakeem/Bathiutheen/Hisbullah combine through a life-threatening heroic fast-on-to-death at the Dalada Maligawa, has decreed that Hisbullah’s Batticaloa Campus be acquired by the state with 50% share to the Army and 50% to the citizens.
This is an excellent suggestion which will establish a permanent Army presence and help in building up security in the Kattankudi area.
