Jaya asks Centre to block SLAF training
Taking objection to the training being imparted to Sri Lankan Air Force personnel at an Indian Air Force base near Chennai, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalaithaa today (Thursday) urged the Centre to immediately cancel the programme and send the personnel back to Sri Lanka.
“At a time when there are voices demanding equal status for Tamils in Sri Lanka, reports about Sri Lankan Air Force personnel receiving training at the Tambaram Air Force Station near here was something against the Tamils. I strongly condemn this,” she said in a statement in Chennai.
She slammed the Centre for remaining “silent” on a resolution moved by the state assembly calling for economic sanctions against Sri Lanka besides demanding equal status for Tamils in that country and said “it is an insult for the Tamil people that the Centre is imparting military training to the Air Force personnel from Sri Lanka”.
“While there are demands for sanction against those charged of war crimes, the fact that the Sri Lankan Air Force personnel are being trained in India is not only improper, but also against interests of Tamil people. This (the nine—month training for nine personnel) should be withdrawn and they should be sent back to the island nation”, she insisted. (PTI)

“The global actors (like certain sections of Tamil moderates who directly or indirectly supported the war) assumed that the regime would deliver peace. But it is a plain fact that the regime in Colombo is not interested in building peace, and in fact, it is difficult for the regime to commence genuine peace when the Sinhala political elites had used the symbols in its war against the Tamils. The political elite may think it can retract its symbolic promises once in power. However, a recent study on Sri Lanka’s political outbidding strategies points that, when they have employed religion and/or ethnicity to maximize their votes or consolidate power, politicians find it next to impossible to backtrack on their divisive promises. And the same problem befalls their successors.”

PBD is obviously an extremists Tamil supporter, perhaps a diaspora and a supporter of the now defunct LTTE. It is the LTTE who was an EVIL TERRORIST REGIME LIKE THE NAZIS OF HITLER.
Here goes Big Mama again – electioneering, beating the SL Tamil drum for the Tamil extremists! The moderate SL Tamils who form the greater majority do not want separatism but unity. They greatly enjoy all the benefits of such unity already for many years. That is why most of them are concentrated in the South, having fled from the evil Tamil LTTE.
Why doesn’t Big Mama agitate for Tamil Nadu Tamil sovereignty for the 70 million poverty stricken Tamils in TN? She and Karunanidhi have no guts to do it as that would be the end of their political life and also perhaps their own existence.
What this ***** saying?
Central Indian govt may intend to get support of SLAF against TN in a future need & if TN goes against Indian govt..!
Central indian govt can easily cover TN when SLAF is backing from east. For that the SLAF flyers need to know targets of TN land well. Indian govt reins Big mama & K papa both.
