Kumar Sangakkara nominated for ICC People’s Choice Award

Sri Lanka’s former captain Kumar Sangakkara has been nominated for International Cricket Council’s second annual LG People’s Choice Award for his outstanding performances in the past year.
Five cricketers have been shortlisted for the second edition of the award and the other four are, South African batsman Hashim Amla, India’s ICC Cricket World Cup winning skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Chris Gayle from the West Indies, and England’s Jonathan Trott.
The ICC said in a media release today that fans across the globe will have the opportunity to decide the winner, voting via www.lgpeopleschoice.com
