One person shot dead in Wattala

One person was shot dead in Elakanda, Wattala today (June 14), said Sri Lanka Police.
Authorities said a gunman in a motorcycle had opened fire at the victim.
Following the shooting, the victim was rushed to the Teaching Hospital in Ragama where he was pronounced dead.
