Could someone clarify what ails our PM? Is it a top secret? From the photo it seems PM has suffered a stroke. Will he recover?
It’s simple logic Nicholas, he’s had a stroke but cannot be relieved of his position due to political factors.
Ther’s a line up of SLFP old brigade gunning for the position.
The turncoat UNPer may be the ideal pick to prevent any dissension but he’s a catholic!
We wish our Hon.Prime Minister D.M.Jayawatne to recover soon.
We wish our Hon.Prime Minister D.M.Jayarathna to recover soon.
Vernon, You seem to be pretty close to the diagnosis of the ailment as posed by ND.As foryour assumption that PM cannot be easily relieved, I feel the obvious choice would be Mr.M Sirisena from NCP. I would dare to question why not a Catholic or even a Tamil as PM? After all we haave a good Buddhist at the helm.
Sir Ekmanin Sanipa wela Lankawata enna Parthana Karanawa.
AUJ,
Appointing Hon Maithripala Sirisena will cause dissent in the blues party; there are many others who can claim unfettered loyalty.
Your ide of a tamil speaking Sri Lankan Citizen as Prime Minister is indeed, attractive. Strong candidates are in order of preference (1) Pillayan the former CM, EP (2) KP, the exLTTE chief now reformed (3) Hon Douglas Devananda, long time cabinet minister (4) Hon Col Karuna, ExLTTE hands on fighter now reformed and (5) Mr Neelakandan, PC for showing courage in defending the beleagured CJ.
Did anyone notice that our president has gone to USA to visit our PM?
I cannot stop laughing at those terrorist stray dogs who barked at everything, saying that as soon as our president steps his foot on USA he will be arrested and charged.
Don’t worry Manjula, the President is being protected by the bureaucrats in Washington who go to courts insisting on immunity and not caring about innocence.
With changes in State Dept leadership in Jan 2013, this veil is likely to fall apart.
Better he should go retair!
Don’t worry Chandini,
No changes in state department can change the truth. The truth is that there is no basis for any war crimes accusations and there are more war crimes accusations against US administration anyway. If you suggest the current state department administration is corrupt (therefore do not take action), that talks volumes of style of US administration.
People previously said things will happen, nothing happened, in the same way you are also saying things will happen in the future. That future will come soon and prove to be false hope by tamil terrorists and their paid slaves.
Agree with you Manjula, that truth will prevail. The truth, of course, is unpalatable to some.
