Queen Elizabeth congratulates Sri Lanka on 70th Independence anniversary
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth on Friday congratulated Sri Lanka’s President Maithripala Sirisena on the occasion of the island country’s 70th National Independence Day.
In a message sent to Sirisena, Queen Elizabeth said the relationship between Britain and Sri Lanka has continued to grow and she hoped the connections between the people would continue to flourish in the years to come.
“It gives me great pleasure to send to Your Excellency my congratulations on the occasion of the celebration by Sri Lanka of the seventieth anniversary of Independence,” Queen Elizabeth said.
“Although I am unable to be with you as you mark this historic moment, I am very pleased that the Earl and Countess of Wessex are able to represent me and to join you in celebrating all that the people of Sri Lanka have achieved in the past 70 years.”
“I send my best wishes to the people of Sri Lanka on this occasion.”

Brother Ranjith, Yes Jayalalitha, Karunanidhi are corrupt to the bone. Some even say TN is the most corrupt state in India. But that is India. SL Tamils are a special breed. This is SL. MT Thulupan Somasundaran comfortably forget about Tamils, Muslims and Christian Lawmakers in post independence governments in SL. I really do not know the ethnicity of Ravi Karunanayake, Arjuna Alosious/Mahendran/John Amarathunge/Jonston/Ranjan Ramanayake/Koreas/Fernando Pillaiys/Tiran/Rosi/Hakeem/Marikkar/Vijaya Kala…I can go on.
Bro Mr Amarakoon .This Tamil guy is a cry in the wilderness. He got a chip on the shoulder because personally he could not achieve anything in his life. So for every miss opportunity he blame the Sinhalese Buddhist society.
Jaffna Tamils don’t like Battikcclo Tamils. Battkicclo Tamils don’t like tea estate Tamils. Tea estate Tamils fon’t like Tamil Nadu Tamils. Tamil Nadu Tamils don’t like Singapore Tamils. Singapore Tamils don’t like Malaysians Tamils and I don’t like any Tamils. So my advise to Thulupan is to keep taking the pills.

As said in a previous blog, achievement of Sinhala Buddhist led Governments for 70 years = ZERO.
In fact, Sri Lanka was better off under colonial rule; there was peace; there was prosperity under colonial rule while the colonialists were busy looting national wealth!
After 1948, the Sinhala Buddhists continue with looting national wealth with the help of a few (brilliant) Tamils.

After independence, we LOST the peace and prosperity while the Sinhala Buddhist leaders continued looting national wealth!
